FBI head 'nauseous' over his possible sway on US election
FBI Director James Comey has stated it makes him "mildly nauseous" to suppose that he could have had an effect on the united states presidential election.
however Mr Comey said he thought concealing the discovery of latest Hillary Clinton emails would were "catastrophic".
The remarks came at some point of a Senate panel on FBI oversight, in which Mr Comey confronted tough questions about his inquiry into Mrs Clinton's private e mail use.
Mr Comey delivered that "even in hindsight i would make the equal selection".
The feedback are the FBI leader's first public clarification of why he reopened an investigation into Mrs Clinton's use of a personal e mail server just days before final November's presidential election.
"It makes me mildly nauseous to suppose that we'd have had some effect at the election," Mr Comey stated on Wednesday.
"however, sincerely, it wouldn't trade the selection."
